Team USA
Fuck yeah, America!
This year, Judy and I spent the New Years with The New York Road Runners and Emerald’s Nuts in Central Park. It was a bit awkward going to Central Park since everyone was dressed fancy and we were in running clothes around 10pm on the 31st. Once we arrived though at Central Park, we were greeted with 6,000 other people dressed just like us. We danced at the bandshell for about an hour and then ran the 4 mile course. It was a lot of fun and a ton of spectators out to high-five.
Some of the footage did not turn out right, as you can see. I was more focused on the event than filming so this is the best I could come up with. Enjoy it!

So I always get IT Band syndrome when it is cold outside. I am usually fine when I am indoors, but once I am outside for a long period of time, it really acts up. I noticed it happening last year as well. I missed a few winter races due to this. The summer months I do not have as big of problem. I do strength exercises, foam roll and ice it.
Anyone know what is up with it? COULD it be the weather? or is that just a silly thing to say?
This is pretty cute. Watch the entire thing.
This is what a Personal Record looks like in my book.
BOOM!
5 mile race tomorrow to celebrate the legendary Fred Lebow.
Only way I know how to get motivated is to watch a Prefontaine movie.
